THE ROLE
The Therapeutics Editor will work closely with the Global Healthcare Strategist to provide relevant and timely marketplace intelligence for the global investment community. The ideal candidate will possess extensive contacts with physicians, research scientists and industry leaders and demonstrate the ability to develop new relationships with experts who can speak to strategic trends in the medical industry. Effective team management skills and the ability to present research findings to clients, both on the phone and in-person, are other key aspects of the role.
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
 Thorough understanding of the U.S. and European therapeutic markets, including the drug development and approval processes, drug switching, on and off label usage, patient demographics, clinical trial data, DTC campaigns reimbursement structures (including regional, national and local levels), and OTC changes
 Ability to read and analyze scientific/medical journals and speak fluently with scientists, physicians, patients, manufacturers, industry leaders and policy makers
 Extensive industry network of contacts in therapeutic sector, including thought leading scientists, physicians and industry leaders
 Writing/editing experience in Therapeutic sector, investigative journalism experience a plus
 Exhibits consultative leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of people across a time zone diverse virtual environment
 The ability to analyze and identify essential findings; strategize and think broadly forward; address issues and solve problems as they emerge
 Excellent writing and editing skills, a knack for interpreting interview data and spotting discrepancies in a story
 Strong and positive communication skills are of essence; adroitness at conveying and articulating stories to a wide audience, including clients
 The ability to maintain a positive attitude, self-motivation and confidence
 Candidates with international experience and additional language skills a plus
