TITLE: Scriptwriter
STATUS: 40 hrs/wk
SALARY: $34,000 Base and quarterly bonuses
REPORTS TO: VP of Production
Summary:
Scriptwriter works with various departments within US Media including Coordination, media, editing, facilitating daily operations of the department.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works closely with editors, coordinators and VP of Production to meet schedules and workloads.
• Establishes and maintains contacts with crews in various locations.
• Writes Scripts for upcoming programs. Educational stories in a magazine style format
• Coordinates with VP of Production to present updated information to clients.
• Responds to and assists dept. personnel with various requests.
• 3 years Scriptwriting experience (for television)
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Requires familiarity with the television production processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ACT.
• Must be a self-starter, possessing very strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
• Proven ability to work well with a team and to interact across company departments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
