Responsibilities:
Moody’s Economy.com, a Division of Moody’s Analytics located in West Chester, PA is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, and industry research designed to meet the diverse planning and information needs of businesses, governments, and professional investors worldwide. As a part time Copy Editor in our West Chester, PA office you would: copyedit written work—including bound periodicals, consulting projects, special studies, client communications and marketing materials—in accordance with established grammar and writing standards as well as with company style conventions. Copyedit content of subscription web sites, including real-time updates of data and analysis. Proofread final printouts and electronic files before products are printed or posted. Juggle tasks to ensure that priorities are followed and deadlines are met. Cooperate and communicate with fellow copy editors, desktop publishers and others to maintain a smooth workflow and on-time performance. Communicate efficiently and effectively with analysts, editors and others to ensure that all writing is clear, accurate and error-free.
Qualifications:
A bachelor\'s degree, preferably in English, business writing, journalism or a related field is required. At least one year of experience in copyediting is required. Familiarity with economics subject matter is preferred but not required. Daily journalism experience is a plus.
