The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, an equal opportunity employer has an opening for a Publications Editor in our Austin, Texas, headquarters.
Essential Functions:
Work with other members of ACFEs product development team and outside contractors to develop, edit, and update instructional material for live seminars, online and printed self-study courses, and other professional publications.
Confer with authors and ACFE staff to ensure appropriate content, proper audience, and consistent style within publications and products.
Assist in developing, editing, and updating content for ACFEs website.
Adhere to strict schedules and deadlines.
Develop, maintain, and promote effective internal and external relationships and work collaboratively with other ACFE employees and members.
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in business, education, English, journalism, or related field.
Experience Required:
3+ years editorial experience required.
Editorial experience in an educational or professional publishing environment required.
Editorial experience in an e-learning environment preferred.
Experience using Chicago Manual of Style preferred.
Experience in Web development and HTML authoring a plus.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Thorough understanding of grammar, style, and English usage.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat a plus.
Knowledge of Web development applications a plus.
Proven ability to organize work, communicate effectively, attend to detail, take direction, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Proven ability to collaborate with staff across departments and work with advisors such as educators, researchers, and other professionals.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, team-building, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
